Join us for a behind-the-scenes open house at Kraft Soil Solutions.

Ever wondered how livestock manure, straw bedding, fallen leaves, and other natural materials are transformed into the nutrient-rich “black gold” that feeds thriving soils? What begins as raw organic matter is carefully managed and biologically refined into a stable, life-giving compost that supports our local ecosystem. And unlike a typical compost yard, the process is clean and thoughtfully maintained—earthy and fresh, not rank or overpowering. (You'll be shocked at what you DON'T SMELL when you walk the compost yard.)

Come down to the Kraft Soil Solutions for our Spring 2026 Soils Session. We are throwing open the gates for a hands-on field day. You’ll walk the windrows, meet the people who manage the piles, and learn exactly how to use high-quality compost to revitalize your own soil.

Dress for the Yard: 
Closed-toe shoes or boots are mandatory. We recommend avoiding sandals or dress shoes as the ground can be uneven and muddy.

Weather: 
Due to the nature of the site, we will reschedule in the event of excessive mud or precipitation.

Please note that the tour involves walking on dirt paths.
